Football Bros: the football game that fits in a lunch break
Blue Wizard Digital made Basket Bros first, and Football Bros keeps the same idea: chunky pixel players, a stadium that looks like a 16-bit Sunday broadcast, and rules trimmed to what makes football fun. Each side fields six bros — a quarterback, two receivers and three linemen on offense; a linebacker, two corners and three down linemen on defense. A game is two halves of two minutes on the game clock, and the clock only runs while the ball is live, so a full match with kickoffs, punts and an overtime coin toss takes about eight minutes of real time.
The part that makes it more than a button-masher is the play call. Before every snap you get four cards: your team's special play (Kansas City's is called KC BBQ Chicken), a mix of runs and passes from a book of seventeen, and on fourth down a Punt or Field Goal card. Pick one, hike with Space, and the receivers run the routes drawn on the card while you decide where to go with the ball. Franchise Mode wraps a 17-week season, a draft, contracts, morale events and playoffs around those same matches; win games and more of the 32 pro cities and the college teams unlock.

How to win your first Football Bros games
- Check QB Accuracy before you pick a team: The scatter on a pass grows with distance and shrinks with the quarterback's accuracy rating, so a team with a green accuracy bar completes deep balls that a red-bar team sails over the receiver. Speed matters less: you can scramble with any QB.
- Throw to the receiver the defense forgot: Slant and Screen Bottom get the ball out fast against blitz cards; Wide Fly and Double Fly need two seconds of protection but hit for forty yards. Watch which corner follows which route on the card and target the other one with Up or Down.
- Scramble when the pocket breaks: The three linemen hold for about a second. If the linebacker is through, run — a diving QB keeps the yards, and a sack costs the same down as an incompletion plus the yards.
- Stop the kick bar high, not at the end: The bar keeps moving after the sweet spot, and a full-power kick is only worth it past fifty yards, where the kicker's leg rating kicks in. On a kickoff, a low stop is an onside kick, which is the way back from a late two-score hole.
- Take the upgrade that unlocks a play: After a game the Choose an Upgrade screen offers new plays (Max Protect, Screen N Go, I Outs, WR Stack, WR Rub) alongside jersey logos. The plays widen your four-card draw; the logos are cosmetic.

Pro tip: Hold Up as the quarterback right after the hike, then tap Space: the throw goes to the top receiver while the linebacker is still fighting the line, and a Slant or Double Cross card puts that receiver open at exactly that moment.
